Today's anniversaries:

1997-Buffy: The Dark Age, Season 2/Episode 8
The secrets of Giles's dark past come back to haunt him when an old friend turns up dead in Sunnydale. As a troubled youth, Giles (known then as "Ripper") and his friends summoned a demon called Eyghon, The Sleepwalker. Now, Eyghon has returned and is hunting down the people who used to raise him for their amusement. And the only two left are Ethan Rayne... and Rupert Giles.

2002-Angel: Spin the Bottle, Season 4/Episode 6
When Lorne performs a spell on Cordelia to restore her memory, it inadvertently causes the gang to revert back to their high school personas and leaves them with no memories of each other. Hoorah! I'm in. Phew! That was a struggle.

Thanks Teep. I don't recall much about today's anniversary episodes. I think, the 'The Dark Age' was where we learned that Giles experimented with drugs in his youth. Who'd have thunk it! See! I remember all the good stuff. :D

Thanks for the Spike goodies, Laimelady. Loving all the pics and vid snippets. He looked so young..and so yummy. :P

Gorgeous! Rosie visited and got lots of beautiful photos, too. I think she said they were all sold out of the poppies, too.

Giles & Ethan and their matching tattoos. <3 I have such a soft spot for Ethan, even though he's such a naughty villain.

Thanks so much Laimelady. It's an absolutely stunning tribute and a very poignant reminder of the monumental loss of life. You can't help but be touched. The poppies have been a huge success, attracted millions of visitors and raised millions of pounds. It's a shame they can't keep them there a while longer. Still, at least part of the display is to go on a four year tour of the country. After that they'll be going on permanent display at the Imperial War Museum.
